Overview:

The Skeletons card is obtainable in Bone Pit - Arena 2. This card summons 4 single target, melee skeletons with very low HP. Just like the Goblins, it is a low-cost card and can damage pretty well when it levels up.

Strength:

This can be effectively used as a distraction by swarming high HP units like the Giant and the Prince. Also is best used as backup whenever your enemy troops is distracted by your higher HP units. They will swarm the enemy troops while having no damage received. This is often used in Arena 2 and is easily summoned since it only costs 1 Elixir. It is also helpful to players to quickly cycle through cards without spending too much, especially when during the last minute of the game.

Skeletons are also summoned by the Tombstone Card and the Witch card.

Weakness:

However, their attacks will not last long since they can be easily killed with just one hit or even taken out simultaneously by splash damage attacks. This is why whenever some players receive a Skeleton Army card, they'll prefer to use it more than the basic Skeletons since the Skeleton Army features 20 of them. The Skeletons is also the weakest troop card in Clash Royale.

How To Counter The Skeletons:

Skeletons are easy to counter since they can be taken out instantly in one blow. You may use the Arrows, Fireball, Bomber, Valkyrie, Giant Skeleton and any other troops that features splash or area damage. It is best to deploy it in a good timing so it is not wasted.

Overall, the Skeletons are pretty useless, that is if you don't time them properly. You can put the skeleton at the back of a tanker. Then add another skeleton. Then add another one. The Skeletons are weak if left alone. But if they pile up together, they can do significant damage that you'll wonder why you did not take them out in the first place.

Overall:

The Skeletons are one of the best ingredients if you use a set of low-elixir card deck. They can serve as a distraction and also an eliminator against unsupported tanks.
