A quick balance update before a new month starts! It focuses on nerfing and buffing some underused and overused cards since the last update. It is a pretty good update, I must say!
Mega Minion: Damage decreased by 6%, Hit Speed decreased to 1.4sec (from 1.3sec):
As one of the most used cards at the top and in challenges, Mega Minion is clearly in need of some attention. It offers a lot of value on defense and fits into almost any deck, so we're looking to reduce its damage output and make it a less obvious choice.
This is a good balanced update since Mega Minion is clearly much powerful than Minions right now. Let's see if it would actually change. At least, they did not decrease its health since that would be kind of bad for it.
Elixir Collector: Production Speed increased to 8.5sec (from 9.8sec), Lifetime decreased to 70sec (from 80sec)
Our last change took the Elixir Collector from a heavily overused card to a relatively underused one, so with this change we're aiming for a middle ground! Increasing the Production Speed, but reducing the Lifetime, will give you a quicker return on your investment and make it a bit more rewarding to play - while still maintaining the risk aspect.
I believe the main problem here is that they increased the cost from 5 to 6 last update. Yes, the Rocket and Lightning will equal it out. However, the Miner will give the opponent or you a huge elixir advantage if the Miner manages to destroy it. Although, I really like that they increase the pump speed so it might actually be a good change.
Poison: Damage increased by 10%
After removing the slow effect, Poison Spell needs some more damage to compete with other spells - specifically Fireball - for a place in your deck.
This is an amazing change since Poison Spell has become useless after they removed the slow effect. Again, this would be a good counter for the Elixir Collector and it may be really useful against crown tower and as a support spell card for your push.
Tombstone: Spawn Speed decreased to 2.9sec (from 2.5sec)
Tombstone is the most used building at the top, so we'd like to rein it in a little bit. Decreasing the Spawn Speed will result in a slower trickle of Skeletons and 2 less over its Lifetime.
This building is actually really annoying especially if you have a Prince or P.E.K.K.A deck. I mean, it spawns Skeletons really quick so it will really stop a push while your opponent is getting more elixir advantage. This is a good change.
Lava Hound: Lava Pup Hitpoints decreased by 1%
This is just to fix an inconsistent interaction with Crown Towers vs. Lava Pups at certain levels.
Nothing to say here, but I am glad that Supercell keeps updating small details even though it is just 1%.
What do you think:
Funny, this balance update is actually quite balanced since they nerf and buff cards that are overused and underused. Great update, although many players will not really feel the weight of this update, but it is surely going to change and add more variety in the current meta.
What do you think? Do you hate the changes or love it?
