Overview:

The Prince is a powerful card when used correctly. Although his HP is average, his attack is his greatest weapon, especially when charging. When charging, his speed increases as well as his attack. When the charging Prince hits a foe or building while charging, he does 2x damage. So it is essential that the Prince make it to the tower while charging.

Strength:

The Prince is usually used in aggressive decks. This is because it can reach the tower very quickly and do massive damage with its charge attack. Like the Giant, the Prince is a melee attacker. It will need support, usually from long range attackers. These may be Musketeers or Archers.

How To Counter The Prince:

The Freeze card is a good counter to the Prince. It will stop the Prince, thus allowing you to counterattack with any troop.

The Tombstone is also a good card to use against the Prince. You can use it as a distraction. When it is destroyed by the Prince, 4 skeletons will pop out to swarm and destroy him. You can also put it right in front of a charging Prince, as once the Tombstone is destroyed the skeletons will come out and destroy him immediately.

Put the Inferno Tower at a distance from the Prince and watch him toast. The Inferno Tower gets stronger the longer it is firing at enemies, so the Prince will not even reach it. But be advised, don't put the tower to close to the Prince, as he has the capability to take the tower down if given time.

The Skeleton Army will make mince meat out of the Prince. The Prince can attack one enemy at a time, so the other skeletons will destroy him easily.

The Minion Horde or any horde card will work great against the Prince. The sheer numbers will take him down in a second. Be warned, since the Prince cannot attack aerial troops, the Minion Horde won't stop the charge of the Prince.

Related Prince Guides:

The Prince is an unstoppable force. In lower Clash Royale Arenas, it is used to end battles quickly. Learn in this article why he is used a lot in every Clash Royale Arena.

This is a nice defensive strategy deck using the Prince to get you through arena 4.

This Prince deck for starters will get you to arena 4 quickly. It is a very risky and aggressive deck, but if used correctly, it will nab you those trophies very fast.

Overall:

The Prince is really a glass cannon. He hits like a truck but goes down easily with the right counter cards. Most players who use him know this very well so they will be sending him out with a lot of support troops. I found that these 5 cards are best at countering the Prince , especially the Tombstone. I am sure some of you out there did not think about using the Tombstone like that. It is great because the Tombstone cost only 3 elixirs while thePrince costs 5 elixirs. If you know any other ways please let me know.
