Another Hog Rider, another combo. Here is a very balanced deck with only 3.3 Average Elixirs to push you from Arena 5 to Arena 6!

Overview:

Clash Royale's Hog Zap Deck is a very simple deck which features great balance in defense and offense. Most of the cards in this deck can be acquired early in Clash Royale. It means by the time you reach Arena 6, you have enough cards to level most of them up.


Strength:

One of these deck's strengths is its low average elixir. You can easily cycle through your cards as you can easily deploy them. Hog Rider can easily damage your building while Valkyrie kills everything that will stand in your way. This deck can easily swarm your opponent if he fails to protect the lane.

It also has a solid defense with the bomb tower. Zap, Archers, and Spear Goblins can easily stop any aerial attacks.

Card Roles:

Average Elixir: 3.3

Hog Rider and Goblins - This will be your main combo to push a lane. Goblins can be very dangerous once they reach the tower. The Hog Rider only targets building so the opponent's tower will most likely get damage when he is on the battlefield.

Zap - Supporting card for the push. It can give your Hog Rider and Goblins another hit or two since it stuns everything in its radius.

Spear Goblins and Archers - Good defensive cards when your opponent is trying to push a lane. They can use as distractions by the likes of Prince, P.E.K.K.A, or Mini P.E.K.K.A. They can easily counter any aerial attacks.

Valkyrie - Since the March 23 update, the Valkyrie became a more prominent choice to use as both support card for any ground push. She can counter Barbarians and anything that has low HP.

Bomb Tower - Main defensive card. I believe this card is the most overpowered defensive building in the game. Can easily kill all Barbarians before they reach the bomb tower itself. The only counter is Balloon or Minion horde, but those can easily be stopped too.

Skeleton Army - Great defensive card against tanks. They can also use to swarm opponent's tower if left alone.

Possible Replacement/s: Arrows, Baby Dragon, Fireball, Musketeer

Battle Strategy:

At the start of the game, wait until your elixir is full. Put down the Spear Goblins to test the waters. If he tries to create a push, put down a Bomb Tower so the tank will focus there. Use your Skeleton Army to stop the push, but be careful with Arrows. You can also use Valkyrie to stop barbarians or any other units.

If you manage to stop the push, quickly do a counter attack with the Hog Rider. Make sure you have a Zap card. Put down the Goblins behind him. If the two units successfully reach the tower. They will do significant damage. If he puts down a unit. quickly Zap it so your Hog can at least do some damage. On the other hand, you can also put down Valkyrie to help your units push through the opponent's tower. 

If you have a successful push, then the opponent's tower health should be around 30% or even destroyed. All you have to do is defend. You can still push the other side to break off your opponent's strategy, and you might be able to get another crown.

The main strategy is to defend then attack. This deck has everything to counter other cards, you just need to have the right cards to defend. Spear Goblins, Archers, Skeleton Army and Bomb Tower are great defensive cards. They can easily overwhelm any push. Hog Rider, Zap, Valkyrie and Goblins are great offensive cards. They can easily destroy towers with their decent damage and attack speed.


Weakness:

I did say that Archers and Spear Goblins are good defensive aerial attacks. But they can easily be countered too and the aerial push may continue. It will be a terrible play from your side if it happens since you do not have any to defend your lane anymore.

This deck is susceptible for Bombers, Arrows, and Zap itself. The Low elixir requirement means low HP. Arrows and Zap can deal enough damage to kill most of your cards so be careful with it. The Bomber can take out your whole push if you are also not careful.

The Poison Spell gives your Hog Rider a chance to take on the tower while you watch your enemy troops die slowly.

Hog Rider can be combined with several cards. Poison is another way of getting rid of potential counters for your Hog Rider push. Plus, its radius is too big that it may even damage the tower itself.

Goblins can really be a bit of headache for most players in Clash Royale. They cost cheap but they are quite strong when left alone. How about if you use a Freeze spell to stop any counters within 5 seconds? Your tower cannot probably handle it.


Overall, this deck is both impressive in offense and very decent in defense. It is a balanced deck that can easily win you trophies. Make sure to use your cards wisely, since they can easily be countered too.
