Hog Bowler Control Deck for Arena 11
Go for a quick Ice Golem - Hog Rider push and let your Bowler and Inferno Dragon take care of your base while you wreck the opponent's tower.

Overview and Strength:

This deck is by Orange Juice and he used it in his own CCGS Fall Challenge. Now, CLASHwithSHANE uses it in his own ladder matches and he won with almost perfect tower HP. This deck is all about pushing with the Ice Golem + Hog Rider while keeping the remaining units available for defense.

The strength of this deck is its ability to cycle fast. It has a 3.1 average elixir cost with a Bowler and an Inferno Dragon to tank and kill pushes. With a fast cycle deck, you can always start with your Hog push every time you have enough elixirs.

Card Roles:

  • Bats - Cheap and very fast. It can also lure out the opponent's Zap for your Inferno Dragon.
  • Bowler - Main ground defense unit. He can push back troops as well as deal damage. Put him in front of your tower to not let a Hog Rider get near.
  • Fireball - A spell card that can also chip tower HP. You can also use it to finish off clump of troops.
  • Goblins - Units that can distract incoming pushes while your Bowler rolls his boulder.
  • Hog Rider - Main win condition. Deploy him together with the Ice Golem.
  • Ice Golem - Tanker for your Hog Rider. You can also use him to lure and kite a P.E.K.K.A.
  • Inferno Dragon - High DPS and can also lure the Zap. Use it against tanky units.
  • Zap - Resets Infernos and helps your Bats finish off a Minion Horde.

Legendary Alternatives:

Clash Royale Strategy:

Ideal Strategy:

The Ideal Strategy of this deck is pretty easy. You push with your Ice Golem + Hog Rider and then just defend with the remaining units. If they try to push on the left lane, counter with your Bowler etc and go towards the right lane with your Hog Rider push.

Offense:

You can go aggressive and start with an Ice Golem + Hog Rider push if you have them in your starting hand. If not, play slow by deploying either your Bats or Goblins at the back of your king tower until you have your Hog + Ice G.

If the opponent started with a push, counter with the Bowler etc and go to the other lane with your own push.

Defense:

The Bowler is your main ground defense here. He has a good amount of HP and pushes back troops. For tanky units, lure them with the Goblins and have your Inferno Dragon do the rest. Sometimes, the Bowler + Inferno Dragon survives the counter and go towards the opponent's tower.

Weakness:

Battling Tornados can be really frustrating. If this is the case, time your Hog push whenever they're low in elixir. You can also try baiting it out with your Bowler + Inferno Dragon combo. Inferno Towers are also a headache. Counter it with your Bats.

Gameplay:

CLASHwithSHANE uses this deck in his own ladder matches in Arena 11. Watch how he makes his play and how he counters and then push using this deck.

Final Overview:

This deck is fun and really easy to use. You just have to remember that your push always consists of Ice Golem + Hog Rider, the remaining troops are just there for defense. Sometimes, if your Ice Golem's level isn't high enough or the opponent's Skeleton Army's level is high, you might need the help of the Zap. All in all, I would recommend this deck. I've been using it in my own Arena 10 ladder matches.
