In this article, you will see how important your support cards to highly support the main star of your deck, the Golem.

Even though the Golem costs a lot of elixir, all other cards blend just right to assist it, providing mass damage to any troops that hinders its way. The fair elixir cost of those cards will be the cause of destruction if played successfully. With an additional elixir pump, you can overwhelm your opponent’s lair by pressure and number of troops. With enough study and proper training on how to efficiently use this kind of deck, a huge chance to push your trophies will follow.

Golem + Wizard Deck - Arena 6 & Above

Card Roles:

  • Golem: He will serve as the main tank of the game and must always be paired with any troops as possible. Giving him a Wizard and some available Goblins or Archers will make you push through and reach the crown tower.
  • WizardThis card will serve as your main support so taking good care of him behind will be important. Make a good team with other low-cost troops available in your deck.
  • ArchersThe Archers will severely damage any troop or tower if ignored. Only a few use this card because of its number but can possibly knock down a tower if supported.
  • FireballIts base damage kills troops most of the time and can also be used in a buzzer beater game wherein you can throw this in a dying tower to get that crown.
  • Spear Goblins: A very supporting troop, that’s why this kind of Goblins is very famous even at higher arenas. Their speed and damage might not be that fast or high, but can definitely make ample damage in towers and troops.  With only 2 elixir cost, these green guys can deal disturbance on your enemy’s tower.
  • Goblins: Small and sneaky. They might possess a very low HP but if used successfully, you can seriously contribute damage leading to a troop’s death.
  • Minion HordeAbsolutely useful in either ground or air. Their damage per second is harmful tearing the HP of any troops on the field. Be always aware in Arrows or Fireball.
  • Elixir Collector: Will serve as your mini protector to snatch the attention of any incoming troop. Its additional elixir is very notable especially when the game reaches its final minute.

Battle Strategy:

In the first run of the game, make sure to drop your Elixir Collector to gain additional elixir that you will be needing in the next moments in the game. And if possible, try to play in a defense position first to give you time to analyze how will you counter your opponent’s deck.

Kindly check the set of cards in your hand. Wait for your opponent to make a move and just counter those through the use of your cards. If a Golem, P.E.K.K.A and/or Prince was/were dropped, bring your Minion Horde down and wait if your enemy will cast Arrows. Once casted, immediately drop any of your Goblins to severely damage that kind of troop. From this move, there's nothing your opponent can do because they ran out of elixir, already.   If you successfully defend your base in the first wave of troops, as your elixir pumps up, you must now have a decision on how you will effectively drop and make a team combo to push a certain tower. The moment you kill all those troops on sight, the second part of the game will now occur.

Turn your defense to offense. Drop your Golem and support it with any available cards available in your hand. I prefer the Wizard, to clean the way easily by its splash damage. Use your cards by dropping them in a scattered way avoiding any direct hit from an incoming Fireball or Arrows. Usually in the middle part of the game, you can directly push a tower if no building cards are within the range that can distract your Golem.

Once the push has been done, this will be the deciding point wherein you will choose to aim for three crowns or just stick with the one crown victory technique. On the other hand, if Building Cards, Barbarians, and/or PEKKA is existing, we recommend you to just aim for a single crown gameplay to secure victory. These kind of cards is a big threat against your Golem so dealing with them will be a challenge. 

The last minute of the game will be the important factor because there is a chance that a game might be extended for another minute. If you are in the advantageous position, who wrecked down a tower, then all you need to do is to guard any of your towers to win but if you are in the opposite position, you need to be keen and tactical on how to enter and demolish a specific tower.

To play successfully, drop your Golem (in the chosen lane) and overwhelm your enemy with your troops behind but always spare enough elixir if ever your enemy tries to sneak in the other lane. Prepare your Fireball and let it blast once your Golem crossed the river because that would be the time that your enemy will release all their troops to counter your blow. Try dropping your Minion Horde and Goblins to look like a big swarm is coming then if the Arrows card has been dropped, release your other troops behind to make a continuous support for the Golem.

Weakness:

Some of the deck’s threats are the Barbarians, P.E.K.K.A, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Minion Horde, and Inferno Tower. And in order to deal with them, you will be needing support troops that can swarm near these risks. But due to low HP troops you brought, there is a chance that your troops will easily be wiped out by a well placed Arrows or Fireball.
