Lava Hound + Clone is probably going to be one of the best duos in the current meta. This combo can easily destroy towers if the opponent does not have the right counter against it. Nickatnyte experimented a deck that actually utilizes this combo with good support cards like Miner and Skeleton Army.

The strength of this deck lies on how many units you can clone within its radius. Lava Hound must be always cloned since its Lava Pups can do massive damage and there are going to be twice as many. Mega Minion if cloned can deal amazing damage since it is really powerful. Defensively, this deck also has enough cards to defend a heavy push from the opponent with Tombstone and Fireball.

This deck is also relatively cheap for a Lava Hound deck as it only has an average of 3.6 elixir cost.

Cloned Lava Hound Deck:

Lava Hound Miner Skeleton Army Mega Minion

Fireball Clone Tombstone Archers

Card Roles:

  • Lava Hound: This unit will be your main tank. It needs to reach the tower before you clone it to have its maximum effect.
  • Clone: This spell card needs to be deployed when Lava Hound reaches the bridge. This creates a clone of the Lava Hound and everything within its radius which makes a powerful push.
  • Miner: This legendary unit is good for stopping spawn buildings and the Princess. It is also a sturdy unit that can distract the tower long enough for your other units to deal heavy damage to the tower.
  • Skeleton Army: This card will serve as your defensive unit. However, you can use this card offensively if the Lava Hound tanks its way to the tower.
  • Mega Minion: Another defensive unit that can be a huge asset offensively. If you manage to clone it with the Lava Hound, they can easily destroy towers.
  • Fireball: This spell card is going to be used against spawn buildings and cramped pushes by your opponent. You may destroy towers when it has less than 300 health.
  • Tombstone: A good spawn building for Lava Hound support. Although, it is mainly used to distract tanks and Hog Rider.
  • Archers: These units can deal cheap damage to the tower but it is also good distracting other units to the middle. They are pretty balanced units that can do good on offense and defense.

Battle Strategy:

Wait until your elixir reaches max before deploying anything. If you have a Lava Hound on your hand, deploy it at the back of your crown tower. It is best to keep pressuring the opponent so he is forced to respond. Deploy a Mega Minion at the back of the Lava Hound to support it. Ready your Miner to stop potential counter units like Princess. Use Fireball if he deploys Minion Horde. Once the Lava Hound is locked on to the tower. Clone the Lava Hound (including other units), and watch how it can devastate a tower so easily. Ideally, the Lava Hound can tank the cloned one so they can do more damage in the long run.

As soon as you finish your push, focus on the defensive end by deploying Tombstone since your opponent is probably going to create a huge push. Tombstone needs to be deployed in the middle so tanks can get distracted by it. Deploy Archers and Skeleton Army to help in the defense and use Fireball if the opposing units are cramped in a tight space.

Once the 60-second mark starts, it is a lot easier to pressure the opponent with the Lava Hound. You can easily cycle through it and it is also a lot faster to get elixirs. Keep deploying Lava Hound so he is forced to respond and do not forget to use Clone spell even if it is alone, it is still good value most of the time.

This deck can be hard to use against Giant + Graveyard combo and Royal Giant + Princess combo. You can use Tombstone, Skeleton Army, and Archers to counter this push with the help of Mega Minion. After doing so, create a huge push with Lava Hound and try to Clone all of them to create a massive push.

I would like to thank nickatnyte for this amazing Lava Hound + Clone deck!

Double Dragon plus the Lava Hound that will surely terrorize your opponents! A sure Three crown win every time!

Clone the Lava Hound and the Miner for that massive double damage! A scary use of the Clone to devastate opponents.

This Lava Hound + Clone is a pretty straight forward combo. It is quite hard to master though since the combo itself costs 10 elixirs but they pack a heavy punch to a tower. If you have a Lava Hound and recently got a Clone from a chest. This is worth a try to use in Classic Challenges.
