Overview and Strength:
This deck is by SquackBot AKA ChickenBob and is featured by CWA. With Siege Decks coming back in the game, this Mortar cycle, will let you spam your Mortar and other cheap common units to defend and also deal damage to the opponent's tower. This is an F2P deck with commons and only 1 rare card - the Rocket.
The strength of this deck is almost all the cards are commons. F2P players can easily ask them in their clan and upgrade. Aside from that, it only has 2.9 average elixir cost so you can spam your Mortars towards the opponent's side of the map. You also have the Rocket to deal chip damage to his/her tower together with a tanky unit.
2.9 Mortar Cycle Deck:
|Archers||Fire Spirits||Goblins||Ice Spirit|
- Archers - They are there against flying units and can also start your push cautiously. They can deal good damage if leveled properly.
- Fire Spirits - Finishes off Goblin Barrel and swarms easily.
- Goblins - Your counters against tanky units. They can also support your Knight for a push.
- Ice Spirit - Cheap Freeze spell. Aside from the Fire Spirits, the Ice Spirit's splash damage can chip a Minion Horde's HP plus your Zap.
- Knight - Main tanker of the deck. You can also use him to do quick pushes with the Goblins.
- Mortar - Slowly chips your opponent's tower HP. It can also lock on to a ground unit. It's also cheap, feel free to spam your base with Mortars.
- Rocket - Deals huge amount of damage to the opponent's tower. Use it whenever there's a tanky unit nearby for a positive elixir trade.
- Zap - Resets Infernos and also get rid of swarms. Partner it with the Ice Spirit to get rid of the Minion Horde.
Clash Royale Strategy:
SquackBot AKA ChickenBob shares that you can go aggressive with this deck. Cycle to your Mortar as much as possible. Maintain the pressure by also spamming with your common cards. Even though this is a 2.9 elixir deck, make smart plays by placing your cheap troops correctly.
The Ideal Strategy is to have your Mortar assault the opponent's tower. Just in case they do a slow push behind their king tower, punish them with the Rocket to finish it right away and deal tower damage. The rest of the cards are just for cycling and defending.
You can plant your Mortar right away at the start of the game once you've reached max elixirs. For any incoming push, deploy the Archers in the middle of your base along with your Goblins. The opponent may try to push towards your Mortar to get rid of it so you can counter with your Ice Spirit along with your Knight and Fire Spirits. For chunky troops near their tower, use the Rocket.
If you're against heavy decks like the Lava-Loon, plant the Mortar to the other side of the lane and go for a quick push with the Knight. With this technique, you can either go for a draw or split the opponent's push for your Knight + support. Continue cycling and spamming with your commons so they won't get a chance to earn enough elixirs.
Since your cards are mostly cheap cards, spells such as Arrows and The Log may cause a problem. If they do, drop another Mortar to continue the onslaught. Use your Knight with the Archers for any incoming troops.

This deck is really fast. As SquackBot AKA ChickenBob shares, you just need to spam your commons and drop Mortars as fast as you can. 2 Mortars can deal a lot of damage to the opponent's tower. The rest of the cards are suited for ladder use.
